It’s always an intense time as you have to take the opportunity to make sure the personal life you left behind is all in working order, meaning: see your bank manager, your accountant, the tax office, the voting authorities, plus spend time with your friends and family. It’s cool if you can stay for an extended period, but if you’re there for only 3 weeks - with Christmas and NYE in the middle and half a dozen invitations to DJ - it can get a little hectic. But we survived to tell the story!... ![]() By MdC Suingue For the complete playlist click 'READ MORE' below A few days after New Year's Eve, Kika and I went to Recife to meet friends and relax a bit after 3 frantic weeks in Rio (more about that in a future post). Sadly, one week was far from enough to see everybody we wanted to, so it turns out we didn’t relax that much. But we did manage to see a lot of people, be it visiting Radio Frei Caneca, watching a ‘pelada’ (informal football tournament), or around a beer and a ‘escondidinho’. And we got to visit the new location of Passa Disco record shop and to hang out with Fábio, its super dedicated, super knowledgeable and super conversational owner. Imagine a record store... |
