Aquí no será distinto. Sadly, one week was far from enough to see everybody we wanted to, so it turns out we didn’t relax that much. But we did manage to see a lot of people, be it visiting Radio Frei Caneca, watching a ‘pelada’ (informal football tournament), or around a beer and a ‘escondidinho’. And we got to visit the new location of Passa Disco record shop and to hang out with Fábio, its super dedicated, super knowledgeable and super conversational owner. Imagine a record store... ![]()

For the complete playlist click 'READ MORE' below Filipe Barros has made regular appearances on the CAS playlists since the day we came across his previous band, Bande Ciné. At first they just made groovy versions of French chanson classics, until Filipe started playing his own songs, in French and Portuguese. Soo n afterwards the band had to change its formation and name to Bande Dessinée, when an "emo" band with a similar name emerged. Following his excellent début album 'Miocárdio' under the name Barro, the recently-released 'Somos' consolidates him as a sophisticated musician and producer who is not afraid of making fine pop tunes. We also bring you... ![]()

We believe individual rights guaranteed by the Brazilian Constitution should be respected and enforced by unbiased judges. We believe every Brazilian citizen should receive a fair trial, from Lula to Rafael Braga We believe the law can not be adapted to suit political and economical interests. The Brazilian Judiciary system created a whole new interpretation of the law to stop one man from running for president. Our supreme court reverted many of its previous decisions to incarcerate and prevent one Brazilian citizen from running for president. |
