For the complete playlist click 'READ MORE' below Filipe Barros has made regular appearances on the CAS playlists since the day we came across his previous band, Bande Ciné. At first they just made groovy versions of French chanson classics, until Filipe started playing his own songs, in French and Portuguese. Soo n afterwards the band had to change its formation and name to Bande Dessinée, when an "emo" band with a similar name emerged. Following his excellent début album 'Miocárdio' under the name Barro, the recently-released 'Somos' consolidates him as a sophisticated musician and producer who is not afraid of making fine pop tunes. We also bring you...
a cute rendition of 'Kizomba' by the kids from Colégio Pedro II, celebrating Kizomba - Feira de Africanidades do Colégio Pedro II. When it was recorded last year it was a simple exercise of one's right to celebrate our roots and identity. In the present situation in Brasil, this is close to subversive behavior in a state-funded school. I confess I planned to publish the video of the song in the blog but I completely lost track of it and there was no finding it again.
Oh, yes, before you get there: we now know what Chicco sings in the last song of the show, and it's not "O mal não tem cabeludão", for sure. Our vids of the week are: Barro - Somos I like Lyric videos because they help our foreign listeners sing along and get familiar with the Portuguese language. The lyric video clip from the title track 'Somos' got my attention for the nice solutions and interactions between the motion graphics and shot scenes. Bande Dessinée - Tu veux ou tu veux pas probably the first track we played by one of Felipe's bands, here in a live performance exactly with the same formation as when we first saw them in Rio, with a 'baby' Felipe and a 'baby' José Demóstenes AKA Macaco from Pouca Chinfra. Bande Dessinée - Perdizes Perdizes was the first single released in 2014 for the album 'Destemida' from 2016 at that time already with Bande Dessinée's new formation. It was directed by Willian Paiva. Dona Inah - Velho Ateu The beautiful samba composed by Eduardo Gudin and Roberto Riberti sung by the great Dona Inah is a gem that deserves to be translated. Check it out below the vid. All that right below the complete playlist of CAS 473 !

An old atheist A drunken singer, a poet In the night sang this song, serenade If I were God Life would be much better If I were God I would give to those who have nothing And every window closed For the verses that the poet sang Maybe afraid of the words From an old man with unarmed hands |
